The House of Eyes is the evil underground laboratory of audio engineer Brandon Bowers. It is home to the Savage Bootlegs youtube series, Brandon’s mixing studio, and a bunch of weird art activities. We also book Texas events for bands and visual artists.

Here’s a narcissistic, self-written biography for Brandon Bowers:

I grew up in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. As a child, I developed an obsession with comic books, action movies, sci-fi, heavy metal, and reptiles. Lots of reptiles. I started multi-track recording when I was thirteen, recording demos for my own shitty bands and bands I went to school with. I have degrees in audio engineering and music business, but I’ve also worked jobs in field biology and have traveled much of the southern U.S. in search of reptiles and amphibians to photograph. I’ve had a bifurcated career, balancing time between biology and the art/music industry. After college, I began to specialize in location-recording, resisting the sterility of the studio environment in favor of the comfort offered by bands’ rehearsal spaces. I started the all-improv psych band Smoking Spore in 2008, which Planet Fuzz magazine called “tight like spandex". I played guitar off and on for the noise punk band Licker, but I’m not sure I should admit that. I was the manager of Mango’s (a classic Houston punk venue) until December of 2014, when I went back into the field to do research on the Western Chicken Turtle. I managed the art career of Daniel Shaw (sawblade666.com) from 2015 to 2017. I still record bands, draw concert posters, book shows, run the Youtube series called Savage Bootlegs.

I recorded and mixed a bunch of demos for bands from 1999 to 2007, and you can check out a highlighted discography here.
